Built from 5.2mm AISI D2 the CRF-2 has all the design features of the CRF-1 but with a re-designed handle, shorter blade and less weight.
The Original CRF-1 combat/survival knife was designed in collaboration with Craig Ruby, Director of Operations at Falken Industries, specifically for Military, Security, and Special Operations Personnel.
The CRF-2 keeps the same design features that make the CRF-1 such an efficient tool with the P.O.U. more dedicated towards the operator looking for a lighter, more compact knife than the CRF-1 that'll fit in perfectly with the rest of their loadout, and save ounces on overall weight.
Quillion-less design for low-drag, no-snag on webbing and other gear-
Slight negative rake increases both thrusting and cutting performance whilst retaining wrist stability-
A unique feature is the handle profile, which has not only been proven in tests to give ultimate contact in any sized hand, in all conditions, with or without gloves, but also to provide extreme torque upon extraction-
Weight- 10 oz (Knife Only)-
AISI D2 steel, for ultimate cutting performance. Due to the larger carbides giving this steel a "toothy" nature, AISI D2 cuts more aggressively than most other steels on the market-
Oxide coating for low visibility-
Sculpted Scales for maximum grip with wet, dirty hands-
Extended pommel for hard striking-
Removable composite scales, field strippable with many different tools, i.e. hex wrench, torx wrench, screwdriver, penny-
The CRF-2 is available with textured Canvas Micarta scales, in Black or Coyote Tan and sandblasted as standard for extra traction.
Sheath options are either Large Tek-Lok Compatible Kydex Sheath, colour matched to your scales or a Custom Kydex Insert, also colour matched, to fit the Spec-Ops Brand Combat Master Sheath (Short Variant)-
